Apparel Types

There are kinds of clothing for men and women other than T-shirts on which I can print a Jean Rollin design that you like. These include male and female tank tops, sweatshirts, long sleeve T-shirts, hoodies, hats, dresses for ladies, etc.

If you need another type of apparel on which you want to have my Jean Rollin movie print, and it’s not listed for sale, send me an email, and I will see if I can accommodate.

My Jean Rollin T-Shirt Catalog

If you’d like to have a Jean Rollin T-shirt with a film that’s not listed among my goods, ask me to create one. I will consider your request, although I can’t say I will definitely do this.

I have permission for creating designs of any film from Jean Rollin’s non-X-rated filmography (except for Phantasmes — I’m allowed to use it). Hopefully, I will eventually make prints for all of them.

Creating designs takes me time, so I can’t make any promises. But if I get a few requests for a particular film, I will probably make it a priority as my next design.

At the time of launching this website, I have a few Jean Rollin T-shirt designs: Fascination (my favorite film of all times), The Iron Rose, and The Grapes of Death.

The first two were chosen because I already had drafts for them. I just needed to modify them for print. I had made and used those drafts a few years before — to make manually painted (with acrylic paint) T-shirts. You can see them in my music videos.

And The Grapes of Death was chosen because it’s one of Serge Rollin’s (Jean Rollin's son) favorite films among his dad's movies. For this design, I hired a freelance artist.

How I Make Prints

As already mentioned, I drew the Fascination and The Iron Rose designs myself. They served for creating stencils for my manually painted cult classic exploitation B movie T-shirts.

The designs show Eva with her scythe (played by Brigitte Lahaie) and the girl with the skull (Francoise Pascal) respectively — two iconic and some of the most memorable scenes from Jean Rollin’s movies.

I had created those pictures a few years before starting this printed T-shirt project. Now, I reused those sketches just because it was pretty easy to do.

However, I’m far from being a professional artist. So another design, The Grapes of Death, was ordered from a freelance artist on Fiverr. For $5, he turned a screenshot of Mirella Rancelot, playing the scared blind village girl, into a beautiful digital painting.

I still had to change the colors (to prepare the picture for print, which has its technical intricacies), place it in a circle frame, and add text.

I thought that going forward, I would prioritize the latter way of creating designs. However, then I learned to turn screenshots into digital oil paintings myself. So now I won't have to outsource this work (which I enjoy doing myself despite it being tiresome).
